Rhule not an option for PSU

Matt Rhule inks an extension with Nebraska ...

Like I said from jump after James Franklin's firing ... Rhule taking the Penn State gig was never gonna happen.

His contract already had been worth more over the long haul than what Franklin was set to make at Penn State and now Nebraska, in expected fashion, sweetened his deal with this extension.

I'm a Rhule guy. I think he's the best HC my undergrad alma mater (Temple) has had in my lifetime. Yep, better than Wayne Hardin and way better than Al Golden.

But, honestly, I think Penn State (and Rhule) may have dodged a bullet here. He's not a better HC than Franklin, PSU is NOT the gig most seem to think it is, and the Nittany Lions fan base would have turned on Rhule quickly after the initial grace period it never gave Franklin had eroded.
