Really, again?

Can someone, anyone ... please stuff a sock in Phillies player personnel head honcho Dave Dombroski's mouth??!!! LMFAO, he just can't help himself from droning on and on about something he never had to comment on in depth (coulda just said Bryce Harper had a good year, maybe even mention that he was in the running for a Gold Glove, and that's it, no mention of a non-elite year required), and digging a bigger hole with regard to his relationship to the player by doing so.

I know people love to anoint a guy like Dombrowski as some type of genius, but he's really not that sharp in so, soooo many public speaking scenarios. If you actually listen, he often says way too much, or just absolute nonsense.

Even on this Foul Territory podcast that most credit him with some pseudo retraction, he's actually unintentionally doubling down on what he said previously. He had more than a week to "correct" himself, or lessen the blow to Harper's ego ... and he did nothing of the sort by going on this podcast.

Thing is, he never said anything that was incorrect, even here, especially since he was sharing his take, his feelings about Harper's 2025 season. It's just that in his position, he has no freakin' need to go into any great detail or explanation that may, in some way, appear to denigrate the player.

It was, and is, just dumb.
