It's been a great run, but methinks Dabo Swinney is done at Clemson. The parting of ways between the two may not happen until this regular season is complete, but, yeah, it's time.
The Tigers are 3-5 after entering the season ranked No. 4. Forget national power, they're no longer even relevant ... in the ACC.
His greatest failing the last few years as the slide started and now picked up steam is NOT with the portal and/or NIL. It is with his hirings -- specifically with OC Garrett Riley and his latest in DC Tom Allen. Neither has grasped the talent at their disposal, what the strengths and weaknesses, or developed that talent.
Dabo, a culture guy, a motivator, a program CEO and not an Xs and Os guy, is directly at fault because these guys were his hires ... and stubbornly sticking with them (and others) has proven his and his program's death knell in the lovely Palmetto State.
